Working with Community Services Directorate (CSD) offers you the opportunity to directly contribute to supporting the Canberra Community. Everyday our diverse workforce collaborates and drives client centred services to assist the community in creating a safe and equitable environment across the ACT.

The Office for Women takes a leading role in facilitating a number of community-related events and activities and implements a range of services and programs relevant to women. CSD is seeking a Program Officer to support the delivery and ongoing management of women’s programs including the ACT Women’s Return to Work (RTW) Program. This will include the development of program advice and preparation of Ministerial briefings and correspondence, program reports, communications and evaluation materials. This role will support the RTW Program Manager to deliver the RTW Program. The RTW Program supports women to get back into the workforce, or on pathways to employment through workshops and grant mentoring sessions.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

  • WWVP: Please note, Working with Vulnerable People registration is required.
  • For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to the Access Canberra website.
  • Driver's Licence: Please note, a current driver's licence is required for this position.
  • Personal vehicles may not be required as ACT Government Fleet Vehicles are utilised in this role.

Note: This is a temporary position available 10 June 2024 to 10 June 2025 with the possibility of permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill similar vacancies over the next 12 months.
