About the Role

  • Reporting to the newly appointed Head Of Service Enablement; Sean Hanrahan. This is a pivotal role within the Service & Asset Lifecycle Portfolio. As the Manager Service Enablement, Western Treatment Plant you will be responsible for:
  • Leading and supporting the Asset Management Function for Melbourne Water’s Western Treatment Plant - Werribee.
  • Coaching and mentoring highly skilled and motivated Employees in roles such as Service Planners and Asset Planners, You provide direction and guidance to a medium sized team.
  • This Manager will have proven capabilities working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • We are seeking a Manager who can drive business plan outcomes and ensure the team meet their commitments to '24 and '25 targets.

About you:

  • You are open to a 12 month engagement, as this opportunity is available to backfill an internal Secondment. The role is predominately based at head office with some regular travel to Werribee and WFH flexibility too.
  • You have significant experience in managing infrastructure assets
  • Sound financial management principals - accurate forecasting, expenditure control and achieving budget
  • Familiar with best practice asset management regimes, incorporating integrated growth, compliance and asset renewal outcomes.
  • Passionate about managing others and leading by example

Important Information

The Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act 2018 requires Melbourne Water, as an operator of critical infrastructure, to prepare a Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP), which has been undertaken and managed by the Security and Emergency Management Team.

Melbourne Water are required to assess roles across Melbourne Water to determine what roles are critical under the Act. All employees working in a role deemed SOCI critical will require additional background checks via AusCheck. This manager role is deemed critical and the preferred applicant will be asked to undertake an AusCheck.
