Our Opportunity NEPEAN Finance is part of the shared services team providing technical expertise to our NEPEAN businesses across our global portfolio. An exciting opportunity is now available for a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity based in Narellan, NSW with travel every 8 weeks to our Mackay branch.

This position will require you to;

  • Manage WIP Reporting
  • Support the business with analysis and reporting on projects.
  • Co-ordinate and assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecast.
  • Partner with Project Managers to track spend and completion of projects.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and payroll queries.
  • Adhoc reporting and analysis as required.
  • Drive process improvement and identify new initiatives to promote the use of best practice.

The Right Person

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded Accountant with a collaborative approach, who values effective communication. The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • Proven experience in a project accounting role, including revenue recognition.
  • Advance skills in excel.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional levels of attention to detail, while adhering to various deadlines.
  • Business and commercial acumen with the ability to address and solve complex problems.
