Family-run brokerage looking for an Account Manager to run their own book, primarily focused on hard-to-place risks
A family-run Insurance Brokerage in Sydney CBD that works with hard-to-place risks clients in the Mid-Market space are seeking a tertiary-educated Broking professional to assist with the management of a varied commercial portfolio.Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for building excellent relationships with insurers and clients, maintaining healthy retention rates upwards of 90%, and supporting bringing new business into the portfolio.
The successful candidate will have a clear training plan and progression path to grow within the business with the view of eventually moving into the Senior Account Manager role.
The role:
- Be responsible for the full renewal process
- Own a book upwards of $500k
- Negotiate competitive terms with underwriters
- Work on varied hard-to-place risk
- Become part of industry networks to broaden your relationship network
- Support in growing the portfolio with the Senior Account Manager
- Trust to do your role from your line manager without micromanagement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Naturally inquisitive to be able to understand more intricate risks
- A willingness to learn and grow within the business
- Proven relationship management and business development skills
- 2 years minimum experience in Broking
- Tertiary educated
- Receive ongoing mentoring and guidance with a structured training plan
