The role
We are seeking for a dynamic Accountant to join a collaborative Finance team. Based in Melbourne, this position reports directly to the Finance Manager. Operating in a heavy Reporting & Compliance environment, key responsibilities of this role include:

• Handling all tax matters, including tax payments, and monthly/annual tax fillings
• Maintenance of local statutory books
• Month end close and review
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as analysing financial results
• Monitoring cashflow
• Assisting in payroll processes and supporting the trust accounting function

Skills & experience required

• Tertiary relevant qualification in Finance/Accounting, and CA/CPA qualification (or near completion)
• Background from Public Practice (Business Services / Audit), or previous experience in a statutory reporting focused role with a large/complex organization.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for tax and accounting in partnerships and trusts
• Strong stakeholder management skills and excellent communication
