The roleThe role of the Assistant Director Procurement is to provide strategic advice and lead the delivery of Sport Integrity Australia's operational procurement, contract management, travel and credit card activities.
As a key member of the finance team, this role entails supervising a small team to effectively deliver procurement, contract management, accounts payable/receivable, and travel management services. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsibilities include advising on contract preparation, AusTender reporting, and tracking contracting data. Additionally, managing the domestic and international travel services, ensuring compliance with relevant agency policies, travel allowances and credit card management are integral parts of this position.

The duties of the Assistant Director Procurement include, but are not limited to:
- supporting business areas and providing strategic advice on procurement and contract management activities.
- developing and continuously improving better practice policies, systems, processes, and templates to ensure the agency's compliance with its obligations under the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA).
- developing and delivering training to staff on procurement and contract management, travel and credit cards.
- overseeing the management of the agency's credit card function and ensure appropriate use of cards in line with agency policies and procedures.
- overseeing the management of the agency's travel function including domestic and international travel to ensure agency and whole of government policies are being followed.
- managing the agency's Shared Service agreement with the service provider, including negotiating MOU's and assuring key performance indicators are met.
- assisting with the implementation of service enhancements and goods receipt of invoices.
- Effectively managing the performance and operations of a small team
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve identified team priorities.
- supervising, and providing leadership, support and professional development to the team to assist in the successful delivery of their key duties and accountabilities
- providing strategic professional policy advice and technical expertise that contributes to business unit outcomes.

- Managing and ensuring accounts payable processing is timely and accurate, with alignment to government policy requirements.

- ensuring compliance with the Sport Integrity Australia Act 2020 and Sport Integrity Australia Regulations 2020
- complying with all relevant legislation and Sport Integrity Australia work health and safety policies, procedures and instructions and Sport Integrity Australia ICT, Record Keeping Policy and Information Governance Framework.
- ensuring the APS Values and Code of Conduct are adhered to all times
