We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager / Bookkeeper to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

You will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments in addition to sales administration tasks.

This will involve :

  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process as per our Chart of Accounts in Xero Accounting software across multiple entities.
  • Liaising with other administration staff regarding the correct raising of invoices and payables.
  • Bringing the books to the trial balance stage.
  • Performing partial checks of the posting process.
  • Complete tax forms.
  • Entering data, maintaining records, and creating reports and financial statements.
  • Processing accounts receivable/payable and handling payroll in a timely manner.
  • Conducting regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Maintaining an orderly filing system within Xero software.
  • Complying with relevant legal and regulatory standards, particularly the Australian Tax Office requirements.
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate :
  • Proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and accounting software packages (e.g., XERO, MYOB, QuickBooks).
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
  • Knowledge of business tax requirements in Australia.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field preferred but not necessary
  • Professional certification as a bookkeeper or accountant is a plus.
This is a full time position working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
