As a Custody Officer, you will play a vital part in creating a safe and secure environment for detainees. Your role involves ensuring their welfare needs are met while consistently upholding a professional and respectful demeanour.

- Unique Training Experience : Take advantage of the fully funded Certificate 3 in Correctional Services, enhancing your skills and opening doors to new opportunities
- Paid Training : Enjoy 6 weeks of fully paid training, equipping you with the necessary skills for this unique role
- Pay increase after training : Start at $27.35 during training, increasing to $29.50 post-training
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Safely transport and supervise detainees during critical activities
- Participate in court activities for security requirements
- Manage conflict and communicate with empathy, making a positive impact on the lives of detainees
- Value diversity and display a fair and open-minded attitude towards detainees in custody
- Provide safety and security for Persons in Custody, staff, employees, and members of the public
- Enjoy the variety of performing walking and mobile patrols of a designated area
- Be responsible for supervising people in custody, escorting them to appointments or court appearances, and maintaining accurate records
What do we need from you?
- Availability to train full time for 6 weeks in Perth (Fully Funded)
- Commitment to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications : We value your dedication and commitment to your professional growth
- The legal right to work in Australia
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test : Ensuring the safety and well-being of our team members and detainees is our top priority
