Description:

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to fill the role of Executive Director for Transperth System, Regional & School Bus Services. As the Executive Director, you will be a key leader and manager in delivering Western Australia's Transperth public transport network, including town bus services in Regional WA and the School Bus network.

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of Transperth services through various contracts and agreements, ensuring the smooth operation of bus and ferry services, and maintaining a service agreement with Transperth Train Operations. Other key aspects you will lead include systems management functions such as Smart Rider, other ticketing, bus fleet and some key infrastructure projects.

About You!

We are ideally seeking candidates with a strong background in transport and logistics preferably with public transport experience. You will also be required to:

  • Successfully lead and manage strategic planning and delivery of Transperth bus and ferry operations, applying quality management, risk management, safety compliance, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering cooperation, respect, and ownership of project objectives.
  • Shape and manage the development of corporate priorities and strategic directions and provide strategic policy advice to stakeholders.
  • Foster innovative and creative thinking within an environment of transparency and accountability, promoting teamwork and empowering the development of diverse talents within the organisation.
