About the Role
As our Operations Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of everything, managing a diverse range of tasks that keep our operations running seamlessly. From admissions to events, catering, and maintenance, you'll be the go-to person for ensuring every aspect of Wilam Hall operates smoothly.

But it's not just about managing tasks; it's about providing top-notch administrative support with a smile. You'll be the friendly face answering inquiries and providing assistance to residents, visitors, and staff alike.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing daily office operations, offering frontline support to residents and staff, and promptly addressing inquiries and requests from staff, students, and visitors.
  • Coordinating the college’s events, including Day-Seminar, Conference and Summer vacation program.
  • Collaborating with the Residential Services Team, oversee contractor and staff performance on-site, ensuring the maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings to uphold health and safety standards.

Who we are looking for
We're seeking professionals who excel in communication, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail. You'll be able to craft clear, concise reports tailored to different contexts and audiences.

Your interpersonal skills will be top-notch, allowing you to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization while upholding professionalism at all times.

You'll also demonstrate impressive analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for exercising sound judgment, devising creative solutions, and skillfully negotiating outcomes.

You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills demonstrated through the ability to manage competing priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player, support colleagues and contribute to the improvement of administrative systems and procedures.
  • High level of proficiency in the use of standard application software such as the Microsoft Office suite specifically SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and other presentation tools to present information

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
