UNA electrical and solarThis role will involve:
- Installation of electrical cabling in domestic and commercial environments
- Installation of electrical devices
- Fault findings and rectification of electrical infrastructure
- Installation/maintenance/ repairs of solar and battery systems
- Designing PV module layout on the roof according to Australian standards and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Making calculations of voltage drop/rise and current carrying capacity to choose correct cable size and switchgear for the job.
- Terminating cables on the inverter and switchboard using manufacturers’ connection plugs.
- Performing mandatory tests to ensure that system is performing as expected and complies with rules and standards.
- Following safe work procedures, wearing PPE and tag-in tag-out process.

BenefitsSalary $60,000 to $80,000 depending on the level of experience plus superannuation

Experience and skills needed:
- Relevant qualifications (Cert III or above)
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Valid Driver License
- Working at heights certificate
- Highly skilled practical hands-on ability is essential
- Effective problem-solving capabilities
- Able to work under pressure
- Analytical & Problem Solving Skills
