An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter / Qualified Fitter & Turner to join this leading manufacturing plant located in Kensington that mills wheat flour and produces baking supplies.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for completing day to day and preventative mechanical maintenance activities ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
Your responsibilities will include, although are not limited to:
- Complete mechanical related maintenance activities to ensure cost effective and timely maintenance of plant and equipment
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical plant, equipment and systems faults
- Perform routine maintenance, call ins and specialised duties in all plant areas
- Carry out preventative maintenance as indicated by schedule
To be considered for this position you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Be a trade qualified Fitter and Turner with a background in plant maintenance and repairs to machinery.
- Proven experience in an Industrial / Manufacturing environment - food manufacturing experience highly advantageous
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously with strong problem solving skills
