The Aboriginal Housing Central team provides business intelligence, performance reporting and funds management services to support the delivery and oversight of services provided across various divisions of the Department.

Information about the Talent Register

  • This Talent Register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for short term contract opportunities (up to twelve (12) months) at the Department of Communities in a range of key positions across the Aboriginal Housing Central team within the Business and Operational Support Services division.
  • Opportunities are temporary and may be full time or part time.
  • For some roles we can make direct appointments which will mean you won’t need to go through a full competitive recruitment process.
  • The register is actively monitored, and applicants may be contacted if an opportunity arises suiting their skills and experience.
  • Once you apply, your CV will stay on the register until 06/09/2024 , after which time, you will need to reapply.
  • Please be aware there is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made while an application remains on the register.

This talent register will be used to fill a number of short-term vacancies (up to 12 months) across the Aboriginal Housing Central team.

Location and Benefits

These positions are based at our Walyalup Campus (Fremantle) located within Walyalup Koort. It’s a fantastic location, close to the Fremantle Markets, various cafes and eateries (click here to find out more), car parks and the Fremantle train station.

Working at an alternative Communities office location across the state may be considered for short-term opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements

You must be an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident or hold an appropriate Australian work visa to apply for a role through the register. Migration information for international applicants can be found on the Migration WA website.
