About The Role:


The Manager, Planning is responsible for managing development applications in accordance with the Western Australian Planning Commission approvals delegation, the delivery of other statutory approvals, due diligence reports, land and planning advice for the delivery of public works projects and provide guidance on project direction and land assembly.


About You:


We are seeking someone who is highly motivated and who shares our vision and values by delivering the highest level of customer service to achieve and deliver results that are consistent with customer needs.


The successful candidate will have a demonstrated high level ability to interpret and apply planning legislation to Government projects, prepare, assess and make recommendations on Development Applications, and be able to research complex land assembly and approval issues and advise appropriate strategies to minimise risk and meet timeframes. An understanding of European and Aboriginal heritage, and environmental approvals processes is also advantageous.


You will be an effective and empathic leader and also have advanced written and verbal communication skills, be able to build effective relationships, and have the ability to negotiate effectively to deliver customer-centric services.

  • You will have demonstrated ability to manage people and have strategic leadership skills to inspire and influence; leverage expertise and resources to achieve quality outcomes.
  • You will have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, harness the contribution of others, build effective relationships and foster a positive team environment.
