Overview
A great opportunity exists for an identified person to join a successful business based in Byron Bay who are looking for an experienced Identified Property Officer.
You will be joining a very supportive and collaborative team.
Primary Purpose Of The Position
Our client is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation and registered Aboriginal Community Housing Provider (ACHP). Our client provides property officer services for the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) and other owners of Aboriginal community housing.
Their vision is to Close the Gap in Aboriginal wellbeing through housing, partnerships and community development.
Key Objectives Of The Role Include
- Deliver comprehensive and professional housing management service.
- Efficiently and accurately administer housing management issues and tenant queries.
- Support effective asset management via monitoring quality repairs, maintenance and upgrades that represent value for money and maximise Indigenous participation and procurement.
- Build strong, productive relationships with tenants and owning organisations by being responsive to their needs
- Support tenants to sustain successful tenancies by working collaboratively across the teams.
It would be expected that you are reliable, efficient and able to manage multiple demands. Exceptional communication skills are a must and conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills will certainly be an advantage, as you will be liaising with people from all walks of life. Strong reception/administration skills, ability to use the Microsoft Office suite are also a requirement.
