About The Role:

The Assistant Director Strategic Governance is accountable for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Technology Services ICT governance framework. The role leads a team of IT Governance professionals, designing and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards that ensure the effective and efficient use of technology resources in achieving the Department of Finance's (Finance) strategic goals and objectives.

This is a critical leadership role that requires a deep understanding of Finance's business objectives and the role of technology in supporting those objectives. The Assistant Director Strategic Governance must be able to balance the needs of various stakeholders while ensuring that technology investments are aligned with the overall strategy of Finance and delivered in compliance with industry good practice and state and federal policy and legislation.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced leader with substantial knowledge and experience in IT governance, risk management and/or compliance frameworks, such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 2700. You will have substantial experience in business case development and presentation to senior leadership.

You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding, and developing others by articulating how work is to be done, providing clear direction and feedback.
