The day to day

This role collaborates and respectively challenges the formation and execution of the business-critical strategic cyber defence initiatives. You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and negotiate to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. You will also;

  • Build new capabilities to manage Optus Offensive Security capability

  • Influence the development of new Offensive Security procedures to improve the benefit to Optus (including the impact on Optus systems and operations)

  • Provide independent assurance and recommendations

  • Have a willingness to challenge stakeholders on how best to meet the strategic objective

Why you are our next Director, Detection and Response?

  • Own the overall DART Cyber Security transformation and strategy road map and act as the representative to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members for on-going engagement on the organisational threat profile

  • Be responsible for the strategy execution roadmap

  • Provide clear visibility and accurate information about the status, cost, progress, dependencies, risks and turning points

  • Develop and refine processes, procedures, and techniques used by the team to continually improve operational excellence
