The Digital Strategy Branch is central to the success of the DTA, providing strategic policy advice and leadership on whole of government and shared ICT investments, digital service delivery and the use of new and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).We are looking for dynamic Assistant Directors (EL1 level) who want to work on the cutting edge of the Government's digital policy agenda. Successful applicants will support the Branch to provide strategic advice and direction for Government on priority digital technology policy issues such as AI, further advancing the digital transformation agenda and working collaboratively with stakeholders across government to drive digital policy initiatives.
The key duties of the position include
As an Assistant Director in the Branch, your duties may include:
- Provide strategic policy advice and guidance on the DTA's Whole-of-Government Digital policies.
- Coordination and preparation of briefings, submissions, new policy proposals and other products for Ministers and senior executives.
- Working across the DTA and with external stakeholders to develop and implement policy functions, including a policy development, policy maintenance and evaluation framework.
- Development on whole-of-government digital transformation, including advice on new and emerging issues such as AI.
