The Role
An opportunity for an immediate start for an experienced and knowledgeable Maintenance Manager. In this role you will be based at The Station and report directly to the General Manager.
You will oversee the maintenance department including mechanic, tradespersons, gardeners, and handypersons across Emma Gorge, The Station and The Homestead. With a strong operational focus, you will ensure day to day operation of the department, prioritising activities and delegating duties to the team. You will ensure complaint, safe and high quality work is carried out across all 3 properties on time and within budget. The role requires a manager who has previously worked in similar environments, and has dealt with STP, WTP and Generators on a larger scale for a resort.
There is a technology aspect of the role, in which the manager would be required to put in purchasing orders, roster staff and manage online timesheets.
In this role you will get to experience the extraordinary beauty of the four seasons, being locate onsite all year round, from the Dry Season when El Questro is open (April – October) through to the famous Kimberly Wet Season when the resort is closed (November-March).
Skills & Experience
- Proven Maintenance experience in a similar role
- Ability to manage a diverse team to achieve high guest satisfaction and meet business objectives
- Deliver prompt and efficient maintenance solutions
- Highly developed problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to maximise the use of resources whilst adhering to budgetary requirements
- Proven ability to comply with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines
- An enthusiastic and energetic approach to the role
- Extensive experience with STP, WTP and Generators
Qualifications & Certificates:
- Trade Qualified Electrician/Mechanic/Plumber/Engineer/Carpentry
- Unrestricted / Open Manual Driver's License
- Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Applicable Licenses(s) to perform duties i.e.: Chainsaw, Forklift
- Workplace Health and Safety Representative Training (Highly Regarded).
- HR Drivers licence (highly regarded)
- Pool Operators Certificate (Highly Regarded)
- Must be confident using computer systems
