Branch Out Tree Specialists Pty. Ltd is your local tree experts based in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, but covering all of Sydney. We are specialised in tree surgery, grooming, cultivation and maintenance. Our work ranges from small prunes to large removals, consistently achieving the best results. We have over 15 years’ experience in arboriculture and operate from our Sydney base in the heart of the eastern suburbs. We are passionate about the restoration and conservation of Sydney’s trees, gardens and lifestyle blocks and are the leaders in quality tree management at affordable rates.
We are currently looking for a qualified Arborist for a full-time position.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that works are carried out effectively to achieve quality and financial objectives, ensuring the safety of all contractors and public at all times.
- Identify structural defects of trees during the normal course of duties.
- Operate plan and equipment as directed, such as, but not limited to: Tipper trucks, stump grinders, woodchippers, chainsaws and EWP's and to maintain all mechanical equipment, carryout daily service, and checks.
- Prune, deadwood, pollard trees using full safety and climbing equipment in an approved manner
- Removal of roots and stumps by various methods including use of stump grinding machine
- Treat tree stumps with approved herbicides.
- Fell trees of all sizes in a safe and controlled manner.
- Report accidents and incidents ensuring that all Accident Forms and associated documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
To ensure that you are successful in this role you will possess/demonstrate:
- Relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience;
- Knowledge of horticulture methods and materials, landscaping and cultivation of trees and woody plants.
- Ability to identify and deal with hazardous and problem trees.
- Records maintenance skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Knowledge of horticultural practices, plant taxonomy, and insect/disease control.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 + Superannuation
