- $68,884 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
- If Crew Leader position: please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8 - $72,838 with allowances plus super) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured crew leader framework.

About our opportunity
This position will have you predominantly working with a Labourer to undertake maintenance tasks on Council's parks infrastructure which includes playgrounds, exercise equipment, shelters, shade sails, park furniture, BBQ's, fences, bollards, retaining walls and various other Council owned infrastructure. You will be undertaking general labouring and tasks associated with landscape construction and parks infrastructure maintenance such as using hand and power tools, concreting and operation of the excavator and other plant and equipment where trained and licenced to do so.
As the Crew Leader on site, you will also be required to take the lead with:
- identifying and allocating relevant resourcing and materials for required tasks or projects
- identifying and providing suitable solutions to safely address issues on park and open space infrastructure
- developing and reviewing plans and maintenance schedules and maintaining associated records
- engaging with a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
About you
Ideally you will have experience in a similar position undertaking maintenance on parks and open space infrastructure while working with and leading a small team. You will have demonstrated experience in infrastructure maintenance activities and the use of relevant equipment/tools, experience leading other team members, ability to perform a range of administrative tasks and use a range of technology as required for this position and a solid level of communication skills (both written and verbal) to engage constructively with stakeholders.
Paired with the above skills and experience you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid) and a Construction Induction card. A Certificate III in Landscape Construction, trade qualification in Carpentry or a similar relevant qualification is highly desirable upon application, but will be mandatory to progress through the Crew Leader Framework.
