Your Contribution - Building a Better Buloke: As the Team Leader Open Spaces, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our parks, gardens, drainage systems, and public amenities. Your leadership and expertise will ensure the efficient operation of our Open Spaces Team, contributing to the overall well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide effective leadership to the Open Spaces Team, coordinating maintenance activities for parks and gardens
Collaborate with the Coordinator Open Spaces to identify opportunities for service improvement and efficiency
Mentor and support team members, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, codes of practice, and best practice guidelines
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality services and maintain good housekeeping practices

Qualifications and Experience:

Demonstrated understanding of open spaces and public areas maintenance and associated policies and procedures
Hold a Certificate IV in Horticulture and/or Arboriculture, or willingness to obtain upon successful appointment
Current Heavy Truck Licence and proficiency in operating relevant plant and equipment
Experience in inspection and report requirements of playground equipment or willing to undertake training
Demonstrated experience in staff management, with the ability to manage time and set priorities effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite
Commitment to compliance with relevant OHS regulations and Council policies
