Position Profile: We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Research team at Perth Children's Hospital.

As Manager Research Support and Development , you will manage and oversee the CAHS Research Support & Development unit including: research grants, protocol development, biostatistics and database development, research. You will lead key staff in providing advice on the initiation and set-up of CAHS-led research projects and ensures appropriate governance of grant submissions via CAHS.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the provision of a customer focused Research Support and Development unit for CAHS including daily operational management of the unit and liaison with researchers and coordinators. Manage and provide oversight of the initiation of CAHS-led research projects, assisting CAHS staff with the development of research design and methodology.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate the Research Support and Development service including developing relevant policies, procedures and processes, in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including relevant research committees).
  • Manage staff providing advice to CAHS investigators in the preparation and submission of internal and multi-institutional grant applications.
  • Provide operational leadership and management in research matters to achieve an effective and efficient service, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislations.
