Our client is a globally listed-company, delivering food and beverage locations across the world. Following a recent acquisition, the Australian business unit is forecasted to triple in size, accompanied by strong business performance in FY 23.
We're seeking a Systems Accountant to lead system management and optimization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll contribute to system design, testing, and implementation while maintaining applications and the EAP system. Your role includes developing visual reports and dashboards and ensuring processes achieve desired outcomes. With a keen eye for detail and a solid accounting background, you'll bring a proven track record of implementing and managing financial systems. Leveraging your inventory management expertise, you'll effectively understand and manage accounting functions related to inventory costs.
This is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract with a strong likelihood to transition to a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to enhance and automate our financial systems, from reviewing and recommending improvements to driving project implementation and reporting on outcomes.
- Establish internal controls to improve the efficiency of policies and procedures within our systems.
- Conduct regular reviews of procedures and policies to ensure optimal performance of financial systems.
- Proficient in data extraction from diverse sources, constructing dashboards and data tables, and creating operational and analytical reports.
- Collaborate with a team to manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and updates of NetSuite.
- Provide comprehensive education and ongoing support to maximize user proficiency in NetSuite.
- Oversee inventory management activities, emphasizing costing methods, pricing strategies, stocktaking, variance reporting, and bills of material.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with relevance to the role.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Systems Accountant or comparable position.
- Membership in CA/CPA/CIMA preferred, though not mandatory.
- Extensive understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Business acumen spanning Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain domains.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing impactful dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA, data warehousing, SWIFT, BI, and reporting tools advantageous.
