The South Metropolitan Health Service are seeking applications from Grade 1 Dietitians to fill vacancies that become available at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital and Rockingham General Hospital.

As a Dietitian you will work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team and provide dietetic services to patients. You will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality of care. You will practice as a Dietitian as per the National Competency Standards for Dietitians in Australia and SMHS policies and guidelines.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

Rockingham Peel Group is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia and comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana. As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care. Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health services.

Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.

This is a recruitment pool for casual, permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, and fixed term part time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/04/2025.
