They have offices throughout Australia and in this instance, they are recruiting for a Regional Finance Manager in Canberra, ACT. This a permanent, full-time position based in the office 3-4 days per week with flexibility.

The Role

As the Regional Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational finance success of the Canberra region. Reporting directly to the Group CFO who is based in Sydney, you will oversee a wide range of responsibilities, including managing month end, driving management and performance reporting, and spearheading finance process and system improvement initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to the enhancement of monthly management reporting, ensuring accurate and compliant financial data entry, and analysing operational and project expenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the daily finance transaction processing in ERP, including revenue, debtors, and payroll; handling month-end journals for management accounts and compiling reports and reconciliations for HO and ACT Group.
- Performing AASB15 compliance, preparing monthly billing reports for the consulting team, managing bank payments, BAS submissions, and budgeting for the ACT Group.
- Assisting with semi-annual and annual external audits, statutory reporting, financial reporting for the ACT Group, and contributing to group revenue board packs.
- Approving workflows, leading process efficiency initiatives, identifying process improvements (like cloud-based systems for lease accounting and ERP migration), and documenting system processes and procedures.
- Leading a team of 3 direct reports and 3 indirect reports
Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will thrive in a people first setting. Our client seeks a Finance Manager adept at financial reporting, stakeholder management and business partnering.
The key to success with this position will be the ability to influence, and build strong relationships.
You will be CPA/CA qualified and be more than comfortable in being in the office, being surrounded by people, impacting culture, developing people and process.
The role is based in Canberra, ACT, and therefore this role will appeal to candidates located in this Region. Our client is not looking at relocation options at this stage.
