- Level 6, $96,577 to $104,553 pa (Sydney) + 13.75% Superannuation
- Providing support to the Director for projects and initiatives including compiling and analysing data (internal and external) for multiple projects.
- Drafting responsibilities related to project milestones, deliverables, and project outcomes for strategic projects and business cases.
- Contributing to project planning, implementation, risks coordination, progress monitoring and any required follow-up.
- Prepare reports, documents, and correspondence to support the Director to clearly communicate required operational information to a range of audiences.
- Providing administrative support as required, including secretariat duties if requested, maintaining files, records of correspondence, meeting schedules, agenda setting and minute-taking, as required (where Strategy and Planning provides a leadership role).
- Developing, fostering, and maintaining highly effective working relationships with Faculties, relevant staff in the schools, non-academic areas, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- This position may be required to take on other responsibilities, commensurate with the expectations of a role at this level, which contribute to the overall objectives of the work unit.
- Relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience, or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting projects including planning, analysis, implementation and reporting with good understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies and associated budgeting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective collaborative professional relationships.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in order to communicate effectively with a range of people at all levels both within the University, and to progress project milestones and deliverables and highlight risks to management.
- Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail with proven ability to work according to deadlines and to manage competing demands.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and a high degree of attention to detail, with a proven ability to use initiative, investigate issues, collect and analyse data and to identify and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage meeting agendas with minute taking, proof reading and timely distribution skills.
- High computer literacy including proficiency in using Microsoft products such as Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to coordinate, review and report on projects and initiatives.
- Effective time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to be self-directed, respond to changing priorities, solve problems, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary issues in the higher education sector.
- Ability to work within the change environment productively and manage multiple projects and priorities to further University goals.
