The PositionAn exciting opportunity for an Accredited Registrar in Paediatrics to join the team in Tasmania. Multiple part-time and full-time positions available!You will be:Responsible under supervision of relevant specialist consultants for the day to day clinical management of paediatric and neonatal patients. Supervise and teach junior medical staff and medical students attached to the Paediatric Department. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of clinical care within the clinical record. Participate in relevant postgraduate educational activities. Provide consultative services to other units, under the supervision of unit specialists. Participate in outpatient clinics as requiredHealth ServiceCentred around a brand new and exciting Paediatric short stay unit; as well as rotating shifts covering the new 34 bed General Paediatric ward, 12 bed Level 2 neonatal nursery and Paediatric outpatients. The unit is staffed 24 hours a day by registrars and HMO staff, with consultant oversight on site during working hours, and on call overnight. The current staffing is 8 registrars/ HMO, a Senior Registrar and 7 paediatric consultants.The LocationThis charming Tasmanian city, captivates with its blend of heritage architecture, lush parks, and vibrant culture.
