About the Opportunity
As a Mowing Crew Leader, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Turf Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our mowing team. Your responsibilities will include managing resources effectively to ensure that turf and lawn areas are maintained to the highest standards. Additionally, you'll be tasked with continually improving these areas to exceed the expectations of our valued customers.
The expected hours of the role are 6:40am – 3:10pm Monday-Friday. Ovetime is available, and reasonable overtime is expected to be completed.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate turf maintenance activities effectively under the Turf Manager's direction.
- Optimize resource utilization for maximum benefit.
- Ensure strict adherence to OHS&E requirements during tasks.
- Provide training and resources for safe and efficient task performance.
- Oversee vehicle, plant, and equipment maintenance for safety.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams for optimal outcomes.
- Meet contract outcomes and assist with program implementation.
- Ensure a safe workplace, report hazards, and maintain positive team dynamics.
- Use of chemicals and machinery is a requirement of the role.
- Completion of schedules and updating of records daily.
About you - your ideal skills & experience
- Current manual Drivers Licence and ChemCert or equivalent.
- Experience in supervising park maintenance teams and operating horticultural machinery.
- Desirable: Qualifications include Certificate III in Turf Management and Light/Medium Rigid Drivers Licence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with diverse groups.
- High energy level and commitment to safety, ensuring tasks are undertaken responsibly.
