Description:
Our client baed in WA is seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Technical Advisor to support our wind turbine construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate closely with the Lead Installation Technical Advisor, project managers, and cross-functional teams to understand installation plans and project goals.
· Assist in coordinating the logistics, equipment, and resources needed for the installation process.
· Conduct pre-installation site assessments to identify potential obstacles and propose solutions to optimize installation procedures.
· Provide technical advice to install subcontractors on the assembly and installation of wind turbine components, following clie guidelines and safety protocols.
· Perform thorough quality checks and inspections during and after installation to verify accurate component placement and system integrity.
· Identify and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during installation, working to find practical solutions in a timely manner.
· Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and protocols throughout the installation process.
· Document all installation activities, deviations from plans, and technical challenges for reporting and future reference.
· Support commissioning and testing activities, providing insights into installation-related aspects to ensure proper system functionality.
- Carry out and participate in Prestart briefings.
- support and provide hands on training to subcontractors where required in use of bespoke lifting equipment or WTG technology.
- Document, report, and archive all the required quality and as built documentation using our clients various software management tools and databases.
- Non-Conformance reporting (NCR) and management
- Reading, interpreting, and understanding work instructions and relaying information and key points to sub-contractors
Qualifications and Certifications
- Industry recognized Qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical Engineering, Demonstrated trade or heavy lift experience.
- Relevant Product & EHS training certifications.
- Current standard industry safety training (GWO)
- Current White card
- Must possess a valid Australian Driver's license or International Driver’s license (including English translation).
Experience
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at various project locations as required.
- 24 months demonstrated supervisory experience.
