In this role, you will carry out heavy plant operation and general labouring duties in Council's Works team.

Responsibilities:

In this position:

  • You will use your experience in general labouring and demonstrated competency in the operation of civil construction plant (which may include backhoe, excavator, skid steer, loader, cement spreader, motor grader and/or road reclaimer)
  • Operate heavy plant to construct, rehabilitate and maintain transport related civil infrastructure
  • Carry out general labouring duties within the Works Section including road maintenance

About you:

  • Experience in civil works construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance, specifically road construction
  • Current HR/HC Driver’s Licence
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Demonstrated competency in the operation of civil construction plant (which may include backhoe, excavator, skid steer, loader, cement spreader, motor grader and/or road reclaimer)
  • Traffic Control Qualifications
