Description:

Calling Digital Communications experts with extensive experience and a passion for excellence to come and lead Western Health's online presence and digital communications channels and platforms.

In this role you'll:

  • Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of a digital communications strategy and associated policies.
  • Coordinate staff, resources, contractors and suppliers for digital communication projects and updates and ensure that project deadlines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Provide guidance, support and co-ordination in digital communication contract negotiations and specification development.
  • Assess and analyse the viability of new and emerging digital communications to raise awareness and inform stakeholders about Western Health's services, initiatives and events.
  • Foster new ideas and creative ways of working to ensure Western Health's digital and social communications are relevant, targeted and have meaningful impact.
  • Strategically drive and evolve Western Health's websites and digital communication channels to ensure their functionality delivers an integrated and seamless user experience.
  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day management and ongoing development of Western Health's websites and other digital communications, ensuring content is accurate, well-written and designed for maximum reach and impact.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of digital campaigns, delivering data insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate a SEO strategy to improve search engine rankings and develop performance metrics to support websites' and digital communications channels' engagement and performance.
  • Manage content and lead improvements to Western Health’s websites and other digital communication channels, ensuring adherence to accessibility and style guides.
  • Lead and develop team members, including motivating staff to achieve team objectives, build team commitment; be accountable for achieving their individual goals; proactively manage performance; while continuously developing staff capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • expertise in current web standards and trends, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, user experience, information architecture and new and emerging technology trends, as well as
  • knowledge of and high proficiency in the use of content management systems, and the ability to oversee and enact governance of digital content standards.

You'll ideally have:

  • Knowledge and experience in website development using open source CMS Wordpress and/or Drupal.
  • Programming experience in the following languages: HTML/CSS, Javascript, ASP, PHP, Python.
  • Knowledge and experience in Office 365, especially SharePoint, to deliver and optimise internal communications.
