About the Company
Our client has been supplying animal protein both nationally and international for over 60 years. The company’s feedlots are an integral part of their protein supply chain and provide opportunity for a consistent supply of value-added products to the global market.
About the role
The successful candidate will be an inclusive leader, with a focus on people safety and regulatory compliance, and who can foster a high performing culture. The Feedlot Manager has full responsibilities for the site operations together with responsibilities as a critical leader within our Northern Operations Grain-fed business.
Main Responsibilities

- Providing leadership across a diverse team encouraging an inclusive, safe, and productive team environment
- Completing site operational and financial management
- Overseeing the effective implementation and coordination of the Feeding and Milling, Animal Health and Induction, Maintenance and Manure, and the quality, safety and administration teams
- Ensuring that all regulatory and quality assurance requirements are met
- Providing on time and accurate management reports and information
- People management with a focus on site safety
- Integrating operations with the broader business
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
- Proven ability to take ownership, show initiative, and develop strategic and operational plans
- Extensive knowledge and experience managing a high intensity and complex primary production environment at a senior level
- Experience leading within a feedlot environment advantageous
- Working knowledge and the ability to manage compliance across a range of regulatory environments
