INVESTMENT ANALYST-REAL ESTATE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Investment Analyst to join the real estate team of one of Australia’s leading fund managers. This role is based in Sydney and offers the chance to work within a market-leading investment manager with a strong commitment to responsible investment and impact across the business. The firm has an ESG/Impact investment mandate, and currently includes investments across social & affordable housing, childcare, and aged care. The firm strongly believes tangible and measurable social and environmental benefits can be achieved alongside top-tier investment grade returns.
What you'll do:
As an Investment Analyst, you will play a crucial role in researching real asset investment opportunities and themes. You will support reporting requirements, support the execution of investment transactions, and lead the on-going management of the real estate portfolio. Your ability to develop macro thematically based investment thesis in conjunction with the team will be key to your success.
- Research into specific real asset markets, industries, and their respective market drivers
- Perform financial analysis and modelling around property valuation, reporting, forecasting, acquisition, lease and capital transactions
- Oversea the management of the portfolio of assets
- Manage due diligence on prospective investments
- Support the preparation of data-driven investment recommendations, assisting the team in presenting to the investment committee
- Support the structuring and execution of investment transactions
- Monitor, analyse, and report on investments and the aggregate portfolio
What you bring:
The ideal candidate brings a top-level academic background with a professional qualification. You will have a demonstrable track record of working as an analyst or asset manager within the real estate industry. Your experience or interest in impact investing or adjacent socially or environmentally impactful sectors will be highly valued. And you will possess exceptional technical knowledge, strong relationship management skills, superior written and verbal communication skills.
