- Fixed Term/Permanent - Full time* 38 hours
- Salary: Band 7 - $101,432 - $113,519 (+ 11% superannuation)
- *Role includes an RDO
We are looking for a Team Leader, Financial Servicing that has a broad range of experiences in financial accounting, accounts payable and receivable supervision, and finance business support partnering.
What you’ll be working on
- Provide support to the Coordinator, Financial Accounting and Revenue to ensure that the external financial reporting requirements of Council are met.
- Assist with the preparation of the audited Annual Financial Report, acquittals, returns, and daily cash flow requirements
- Supervise the Finance Officers responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
What you need to succeed
- Formal tertiary qualification in commerce, business, accounting, or a related discipline. Membership of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) or Australia Chartered Accountants (CA) Australia (desirable).
- Substantial knowledge of relevant Australian Accounting Standards. Demonstrated knowledge of Local Government legislation and regulations would be considered advantageous.
- Substantial knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to apply knowledge in a practical way.
- Experience providing internal financial support, developing financial reports, and maintaining accounting systems in a government, or large organisation.

This will see you assist and contribute towards the development and preparation of key financial reports to Council including the Annual Budget and quarterly financial report as well as regular financial reporting to the Executive Leadership Team.
