The Aurenne Group is a private company who acquired the historic Mt Ida - Bottle Creek gold field, 80 km north-west of Menzies in 2019. Last mined by Norgold in the late 1980’s, we have a combined tenement package of 400km in a highly prospective setting for both gold and lithium.
In the past twelve-months, we have developed brand new infrastructure including a state-of-the-art camp, new processing facility, offices, and work areas. You will be a part of a rapidly expanding business with a focus on its people, lifestyle, and operational excellence. The site currently contains water and power services, a 200 person Village, power station, site buildings, aerodrome and borefield.
We are seeking two detail-oriented Metallurgical Technicians to join our team. These positions are offered on a Lifestyle friendly 8/6 day shift roster.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy principles
- Experience with conducting metallurgical tests
- Proficiency in using various laboratory equipment and tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Preparing ore samples
- Manual handling of samples
- Perform physical and chemical laboratory tests
- Conducting and supervising bench scale testwork
- Liaising with Metallurgists regarding ongoing testwork
- Assist with Laboratory operation & logistics
- Assist with Metallurgist work activities
