Description:

Brief Summary of role : The CDP Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking assistance or information regarding community development initiatives.

They are responsible for welcoming visitors, answering inquiries, directing calls, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to program staff.

The Receptionist plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring efficient communication, and facilitating the smooth operation of the community development program's front office.

Remuneration package : Employment Type : Full Time Salary Range : $50,000- $64,000 per annum (pro-rata) Entitlements / Benefits : 6 Weeks Annual Leave + 2 Weeks Sick Leave + 2 Weeks Ancillary Leave + 1 RDO per Month Location : Kalano's CDP Administration Office 2 / 3 First Street, Katherine NT Hours of work : 37.

  • 5 hours per week 7.5 hours per day (Monday to Friday 08 : 00am 4 : 30pm) The successful applicant should posses the following attributes, skills and competencies;
  • Certificate in Business Administration or Community Services (or willing to obtain)
  • Understanding of CDP guidelines and legislation
  • Demonstrate an empathy with Aboriginal people, and an understanding and knowledge of local Aboriginal cultures, as well as current and complex issues.
  • Competency with written and oral communication, including cross-cultural awareness.
  • Functional understanding of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel.
  • High standard of integrity and confidentiality, work ethics including honest communication with program manager and colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of continuous quality improvement through attention to detail and finished work.
  • Quick learner with good time-management skills
  • Working knowledge of Work, Health and Safety standards.
  • Current NT Drivers Licence, National Police Check and Ochre Card.
