Description:

Our client is a South Australian solar energy company which has been committed to deliver top quality solar systems at unbeatable prices and take advantage of continuous cost-effective solutions and technology improvements in solar energy to provide premium products at affordable prices to customers Australia-wide. Currently, due to the rapid growth of the company's business and in order to fill the recent staff shortage, the company is looking for Electrical Engineering Technicians with 3 years relevant industry experience to join the team. This position is responsible for electrical design for residential, commercial or industrial installations, electrical power and solar system generation and transmission, and instrumentation and control systems.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, operation and performance of electrical generation and distribution networks, electrical machinery and components and electronic communications, instrumentation and control systems, equipment and components
  • Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Design electrical and electronic circuits, components, systems and equipment
  • Developing apparatus and procedures to test electronic components, circuits and systems
  • Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment

Required qualification/skills:

  • Completion of relevant electrician apprenticeship program
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science or Diploma of Engineering preferred
  • Electrician license required in state of practice
  • 3-5 years of electrical experience
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
  • Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
  • Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
  • Willing to work overtime

salary range $70,000 - $ 75,000
