Tell me more...The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) position is based in the Aurukun community. Offering the unique opportunity to work at the Aurukun Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC). The CNC will assist in the development and provision of Acute and Primary Health Care Services, mentoring and supporting the primary health care clinicians throughout TCHHS.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Advanced level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult liaise and negotiate with hospital and community health providers within the Torres Cape Hospital and Health Service and beyond.
- Advanced level of understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
- Advanced level of personal and professional efficacy whereby practice is structured in a nursing model and enhanced by autonomy and accountability.

Requirements for the role:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration/endorsement with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (APHRA) as a registered nurse and current practising certificate is mandatory.
- Experience working in an isolated community.
- Travel across the TCHHS will be a requirement of this position in commercial and/or light aircraft and 4WD vehicles.
