Arnhem Land Pest Control is looking for Accounts Officer, Senior Pest Control Technician and Truck Driver/ Multi Skilled Technician

The Accounts Officer will be working alongside our Accountant. Accounts Officer takes care of the financial bookkeeping and records of the organization. Duties include recording transactions, payments and expenses and processing invoices, send out bills and invoices, follow up on overdue payments and ensure that a company’s invoices and payments match up correctly by cross-checking the original document to the company’s record.

This role would suit an individual, with a strong commitment to compliance, attention to detail and efficiency. This role needs someone who is comfortable supporting staff to ensure that they understand and comply with financial accountability processes whilst allowing them to carry out their day-to-day client-based work.

The position is responsible to the company accountant and works with staff, as well as suppliers.

Wage is between $65k to $72k annually. Wage depending on Qualifications and experience. This position comes with a heavily subsidised housing - in a share house.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience in both Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable
  • High-level computer expertise; especially in the use of MYOB, Google applications and the Microsoft Office software suite, in particular Excel to provide financial reports
  • At least 2 years plus experience in business administration and accounts environment.
  • Knowledge of financial systems
  • Sound organisational & time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as part of a small team
  • High attention to detail
  • Takes responsibility for own learning and continuously seeks to improve
  • Innovative, agile and always evolving​
  • A high level of knowledge and experience in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • A strong work ethic
  • Disciplined work practices and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this is required in government tender applications
  • Qualifications or near qualification in accounting, bookkeeping and finance
