Your New Role & Team
The APS6 Project Coordinator presents an exciting opportunity to join and support a Project Management Office which is being established within a new agency branch.
Based in Richmond, accessible via multiple public transport options, on offer is a 12 month contract based opportunity with a strong chance for renewal beyond. A flexible, hybrid working environment ensures a great work-life balance position with some time required in office however individual circumstances are assessed on a case by case basis. This is a full time position (Monday-Friday).
Reporting to the Director of the Integrity Transformation Branch the Project Coordinator will work to support the system development cycle through project management and reporting skills. This is a role that is a great opportunity for project managers/coordinators with strong stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.

Duties and responsibilities in these positions include but are not limited to…
Providing accurate and specialised advice ensuring knowledge of and compliance with relevant legislation, PMO guidelines, standards, procedures and policy frameworks for supporting program delivery.
Ensuring effective program management processes and methodologies are followed within the program for end-to-end reporting.
Providing project coordination support, expertise and technical knowledge across a range of activities including systems, workload management, people performance, financial, staff lifecycle, knowledge and change management.?
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working towards the delivery of large scale IT change projects.
Assessing and maintaining quality processes and documentation relating to service delivery, ensuring alignment with legislation and policy, and utilising change and risk management principles, communicating impacts with relevant parties.?
Analysing data and preparing a range of written material including program status reports and updates, business cases, Senate Estimate submissions, Ministerial and Agency briefs, presentations and other corporate documentation.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation, from data analysis, creating initiatives for branch efficiencies.?
Working with various stakeholders and business areas across the agency, preparing project dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for this role will be professional, confident and must have demonstrated experience in the following areas…
Demonstrate strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrate experience in project coordination, PMO or business administration lead.
Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft office.
Be prepared to work in a dynamic environment.
Although not essential, the following qualifications/experience will be held in high regard when shortlisting application;
Confident user of Jira and confluence
A background working within an ICT environment would be highly regarded, but is not completely necessary.
Government experience is not necessary but government awareness in a project management/coordination setting is desirable.

Are an Australian Citizen
currently hold or have the ability to pass a national police check
Availability to work full-time hours Monday - Friday on a long term basis
