  • Seeking an apprentice Parks and Gardens
  • Hourly rate + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation
  • 38 hours per week
  • Sites include universities, private schools, councils, major sporting stadiums, golf courses, first-class sporting fields, clubs, and commercial properties, general maintenance and so much more!

About the Role

As an Apprentice, you will have the privilege of learning from our qualified tradespeople who will serve as your mentors, guiding you towards achieving your Certificate III in your chosen field.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain green spaces.
  • Implement horticultural best practices for plant care.
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager to enhance campus aesthetics.
  • Conduct regular assessments of plant health and landscape conditions.
  • Provide recommendations for landscaping improvements.
  • Contribute to the overall environmental sustainability of the grounds.

About You

  • Punctuality: Be reliable and show up on time for your assigned tasks.
  • Motivation: Demonstrate enthusiasm and a drive to excel in the field.
  • Passion for the outdoors and gardening: Embrace the beauty of nature and possess a genuine interest in horticulture
  • Keen eye for detail: Exhibit an observant and meticulous approach to ensure exceptional results
  • Possession of a driver's license and own transportation: This is an essential requirement.
  • WH&S white card: Prior possession or willingness to obtain one, emphasising your commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Prior gardening work experience: While advantageous, it is not mandatory.
  • Unique Student Identification (USI): Ensure you have your USI for the training program.
