Job Description :
As a Finance & Accounts Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to handle various tasks including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of customer invoices and reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Processing of creditor payments and account reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Home building contract preparation.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Maintain petty cash funds, including disbursing and reconciling petty cash transactions.
- GST/Payroll tax preparation and lodgement.
- Processing payroll and employee file maintenance.
- Processing employee superannuation payments.
- Assist with the preparation of accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Assist with the development of budgets and forecasts by providing financial data and analysis to support decision making processes.
- Prepare various financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations relevant to the role.
- Effectively communicate financial information and insights to stakeholders, including management, colleagues, and external parties, in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word is required.
- Proficiency with MYOB accounting software is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling employee & financial information
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
