I am partnered with a healthcare company to hire a Data Analyst on a contract initially up to 6 months, with the potential to extend to another project.
We seek an experienced Data Analyst with expertise in Excel modelling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with large and complex datasets.
You will create an Excel-based data modelling tool tailored for patient services officers to utilise in healthcare quotes. The tool should offer various pricing structures based on patient type and the Medicare Benefits Schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develop complex Excel models to analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Design and implement advanced formulas, functions, and macros to automate data processing and analysis tasks.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and manipulation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Create visually compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards to present analytical findings and key performance indicators.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Customize Excel templates and reports to meet the specific needs of different business units and departments.
- Optimize data structures and workflows to improve the efficiency and scalability of Excel models.
- Implement best practices for data governance, documentation, and version control to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formula writing, pivot tables, data validation, VBA scripting, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, DAX, M Code, and data visualisation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets.
- Experience working with SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools/languages is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
