The Energy Corporation of New South Wales (EnergyCo) is currently seeking to appoint a Principal Data Analyst, PMO to lead the project data and analytics function and services for EnergyCo’s portfolio of mega-infrastructure projects.

As a critical member of the Project Management Office (PMO) and advisor to project governance bodies, this role establishes and implements systems and reporting to enable robust and structured governance, consistent and integrated approach to program and project controls, and enable visibility, advice and decision making across the portfolio of projects.

As the Principal Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of EnergyCo's mega-infrastructure projects. You'll lead the design and implementation of a robust data, analytics, and reporting framework that underpins our Project Management Office (PMO). Your expertise will drive the integration and visualization of data to deliver consolidated, actionable insights across our portfolio of projects. Collaborating closely with project control teams and other PMO members, you'll ensure timely identification and effective management of issues and risks, leveraging data-driven decision-making.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Experience working in a Project Management Office environment
  • Demonstrated experience with PowerBI and other analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop automated data gathering, processing and analytical solutions, using a variety of data systems.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Senior experience in data, analytics and reporting

Who we are?

EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of more than 14 gigawatts of new transmission capacity, coordinated with renewable energy and storage, including in five new REZs and two priority transmission infrastructure projects to date.

We are responsible for the on-ground infrastructure needed to bring new renewable energy online at the scale and speed to meet our transformation objectives in the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 and NSW Network Infrastructure Strategy.

January 2024 EnergyCo NSW joined the newly formed Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) which works to protect the state’s environment and heritage. It leads the way on climate change, driving the sustainable transition to a net zero economy, powered by affordable, reliable, and clean energy.
