About the OPPORTUNITY

We have a great opportunity for a Reliability Analyst to join our Hunter Class Frigate Line of Business.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working. We are also able to offer part-time flexibility for this role.

You will be responsible for analysing ship systems, predicting performance of equipment, and for providing recommendations that assist in ensuring the effective operation of the equipment and systems. In this role you will have exposure across the whole ship and you will be working on a diverse range of systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Apply systems engineering processes to analysis of equipment failure and maintenance

  • Model the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) performance of a ship and its systems

  • Contribute to the following activities for the project including:

  • Support modelling and performance evaluation

  • Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

  • Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)

  • Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)

  • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)

  • Communicate with a multi-disciplinary range of stakeholders

  • Conduct investigations and analyse data collected for an impression of equipment/ systems history and current condition

About YOU

  • Experience in or exposure to reliability engineering, systems engineering, or support systems
  • Graduate degree or experience in the operation and/ or maintenance of systems in a defence or related technical industry
  • Strong Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • NV1 clearance or eligibility required
