Your opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Property Accountant to support our Financial Controller and Property Accountants in various financial and administrative tasks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role will be based in our Support Office in Newmarket (Westfield).
You will contribute to the continued growth of our business by:
- Conduct funding/cash flow analysis.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile gift cards.
- Approve payment vouchers and post batches.
- Process receipt reversals.
- Collect and record ESG data.
- Reconcile debtors and generate reports.
- Handle recurring invoicing.
- Prepare GST reconciliations and reports.
- Process standing and allocations journals.
- Generate security deposit reports.
- Reconcile Kiddy Cruiser accounts.
- Maintain other clearing accounts at month end.
- Produce debtors and marketing reports.
- Reconcile withholding tax and manage payments and returns.
- Monitor telco invoices and payments.
- Assist auditors and property accountants with inquiries.
- Generate invoices as needed.
- Provide backup support for gift card reconciliation and payments.
- Act as backup for accounts administrator.
What will set you apart from the rest?
- Proficiency in JDE, PeopleSoft, and/or Hubble.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Thor (Gift Card) and Westpac COL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
