ABOUT THE ROLE: Housekeeping Assistant/ Cleaner

Summary of the role: Seeking honest, self-motivated and committed candidate for Housekeeping assistant/ Cleaner position at Mercy Place Mount Saint Joseph’s aged care Young. we feel empowered looking after our residents, the environment and our small community through our services we offer, so having right people in the team is very important to us. This role will include cleaning resident’s rooms, common areas and ensuring facility looks clean and fresh. We would like to hire efficient team member that works together to maintain clean environment for our residents, visitors and staff.

  • Permanent -part -time position/ hours can be negotiable.
  • Mercy Place Mount Saint Joseph’s Residential aged care Young NSW.
  • Provide housekeeping services in line with the Mercy Health Model of Care, ensuring quality resident-focused care utilising a person-centred approach
  • Ensure all areas of the home are thoroughly cleaned and of a high standard at all times
  • Work both autonomously and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping operations within Healthcare, Aged Care or similar industries
  • Ability to operate in team environment and work autonomously
  • Punctuality and reliability, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care
  • High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
  • Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
  • Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health’s policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).

Employment with Mercy Health is subject to satisfactory background checks which can include Police Record Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
