An exciting opportunity has opened up to coordinate and shape the Risk Management Group's internal non-financial risk reporting and coordination of the Risk Management Group's Risk Committee. This role is part of our Business Operational Risk Management team which is a Line 1 risk team focused on non-financial risks in the Line 2 risk function.

What role will you play?

This role is both exciting and intellectually stimulating as you will take the lead in shaping our internal non-financial risk reporting and agenda for the Risk Committee. This will involve collaboration with key stakeholders in the risk function, overseeing specific deep dives, and coordinating the Risk Committee as the Committee's Secretary. To be effective you will leverage your experience in analysing operational risk to provide Senior Management with insights and foresight, drive the development of new metrics that allow us to objectively assess our risk against target (such as Key Risk Indicators or Control Performance Indicators) and oversee delivery of existing risk profile reports to the Risk Management Group divisions.

What you offer

  • Deep expertise in risk reporting with a clear focus on providing insights and foresight, preferably with a focus on operational risks / non-financial risks
  • Proven analytical expertise, incl building a reporting strategy, identifying relevant data sets, and ability to draw out key messages for Senior Management.
  • Strong focus on detail but with the ability to step out of the detail and focus on the bigger picture.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI combined with advanced Excel skills and experience in processing large data sets through SQL, Impala, Presto or similar.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
