About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, who will enjoy the challenge of supporting BSI on their utilisation of the Agile methodology. You will be comfortable working with teams of various sizes and be capable of leading and mentoring others with the Agile approach.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develop solution concepts and full business case for new projects including costs, timelines and delivery plan in accordance with BSI standards, engaging external professional expertise to contribute to and to validate project proposals and plans where required.
  • Agree and document high level implementation approach, change management approach (includes business readiness for change), and project roadmap.
  • Manage analysis, requirements gathering, design activities, development, testing, and implementation of multiple projects, ensuring adherence to agreed standards, timeline, budget, scope, and benefits outcomes .
  • Create and manage project plans and assist with the tracking, documentation, issue management and status updates for the project.
  • Mobilise project teams to gather business requirements, and develop high level business process maps
  • Establish wider collaboration with BSI's architects and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
  • Develop solution concepts and business cases for new investments.
  • Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors.
  • Create shared vision of their respective solutions and facilitate decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms.
  • Develop and implement sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio.
  • Identify, screen and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet (internal and external) customer needs.
  • Utilize the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements.
  • Collaborate with the PMO on the intake process and prioritization of candidate projects across the company.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience project managing and implementing global enterprise-scale projects/platforms in corporate environments.
  • Understands the importance of adaptive planning, iterative development, and continuous improvement
  • Leading agile processes, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives.
  • Demonstrable project leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing project teams, budget and schedule
  • Demonstrable project management skills with teams of up to project teams of 10+ people
  • Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience
  • Able to effectively present point of view to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates

Skills & Abilities:

  • Keen ability to quickly connect business requirements with the functional capabilities of the application
  • Expert in the assessment of business objectives, formulating solution options, and driving stakeholder support
  • Extensive experience contributing as a direct resource, and managing others on enterprise software deployments

Education & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Formal project management certification - PMP/Prince2 or Similar
